It probably looks like the post NEW MUZZYS. You gave a pretty vague description. Is it a round muffler? People cut down the can for different reasons. Some do it for looks others do it for performance gains. The length of the can does make back pressure difference which could in turn give you a different power curve. A longer muffler generally MPH better at the track where as a shorter one will give you more low end power. IMO

The original muzzys was not a good system imo. The m14 (later version) was much better. I would hold off. You can find a lot of nice systems for $500-$600 shipped, and you'll eventually want something nicer then a trashed $250 system.

Dad ran 5.86@123 mph on his old style M10 with a patch on the bottom of the pipe where the guy before him rubbed a hole in it. If you ask me, 250 is a steal for any full exhaust and for that price he can have a Pipe, PCV, and money left in his pocket. Just my $.02
Also, You'll have hell finding any street ridden bike with an aftermarket pipe that doesn't have a flat spot on the bottom of it and they don't affect performance anyway.

The shortened can is part of a custom bike,in my opinion, because I gives the owner their own unique look and sound.

Another reason to cut down a can it is it may have been damaged and the bad bit cut out.
