I have been advised to use a dsm-4h model with a two coil tach adaptor.
I soldered onto coil 1 and 4 striped wires ,then tried coil 2 and three.
It does the startup test flash but wont trigger.
At first I was sold a dsm-4 that did the same, then was told to use this type.
Can someone please tell me if I maybe need the dsm-2h ?
To wet in tthe tropics to race since December but bloody frustrated!!!!

I wish I could help...I think everyone is too busy answering the "Flies and HP" question again. Try asking about your dynatek on zxforums...click below before big brother turns it off.

ok, bud and hooters got me. pretty sure you need the DSM-2H base rpm 8000

do us a favor and be sure you are on the neg wires of the coils. connect a test light to a wire and make sure its not powered. if its connected to pos it will not get the pulse/signal from when the coil is fired, and it will not be able to see the bikes rpm
