The only thing that chevrolet has done with the camaro over the years is prove that ford can smack their ass with less cubic inches. Blue oval ftw.

Is a fucking turd unless you're talking about a 426 hemi. The new srt8's are slooooooooow. Then again, there's a new camaro ss with a vortec supercharger on 7psi of boost that only runs 8.20's on drag radials. That's 4 tenths of a second slower than my buddies 03 cobra with a lightning pulley and drag radials.

I own both, and stock for stock a 14 will walk away from a first gen busa no prob. With -1/+2 gearing on the 14 you should murderize the busa in roll ons. Have fun lol

Yes it does. The owner hit a button that showed the top speed on the bike he had done so far and it went up to the mid 170's! He said she had more left!

Someone actually thinks the new Hemi is great!?
To sum it up it goes something like this:
New hemi . Original Hemi
That's all

I have a 10 second LT1 camaro and saw a few SRT/8 Jeeps in the low 12's with simple bolt on's and a tune. I can respect that.

Right On! Even that heavy 540HP heavy pig they call the GT500 with a big blower can't beat a standard naturally aspired vette.

Anyone who owns both a 14 and a G2 busa will tell you the power is the same. My 14 feels a bit more peppy in midrange, the busa feels more in it's element at higher rpm than the 14 but I can't say i feel any dif in power. I don't know all the particulars on the G1 busas but I wouldn't worry about that bike beating your bike. If your buddy is a better rider or knows his bike better, maybe he will beat you. I had no trouble hanging with a piped silver G1 busa last fall. We didn't do over 160 but my stock 14 didn't loose any ground over a mile of straight road or a 130 mph sweeper (and fairly tight at that).
The busa feels like it turns in and holds a line easier than my 14. Despite this, I have not actually cornered harder on my busa. I have found that the point where the rear tire lets go in a tight corner is about the same on both bikes.

Just be careful with that gearing. I hear it's quite a change from stock and stock is plenty to get you in trouble. I suggest I-43 North. LOng straight stretches around the Mukwonago, WI area. Usually not well patrolled (however it seemed it was late in the riding season last year so watch it).
You riding already in IL? You better wait until it warms up a bit.

A friend just picked up an srt8 from the dealer and let me make a pass in it ... First pass 12.99 .. My stone stock 69 hemi road runner 4.10 four speed ran the best of 12.98 .. I'd say the new Hemi does just fine for 4000 pound car .. My 69 weighted 3780 and didn't have all the power goodies that an srt8 does .....

I gotta say even a busa with a yosh can't beat a 14 with a yosh... But you can whip that busas ass better with a brock on the 14

Not bad stock for stock!
But the original Hemi has proven raw firebreathing potential .
The new Hemi aint bad either cause they can get some decent HP out of them too.

Really depends on if you can hook, launch, and keep yourself from seeing sky.
In theory you should be quicker but for sure you'll do plenty of spanking on the streets!
A guy I know who races the white 14 at irwindale which is an 1/8th did a 16 tooth on front and was actually slower cause he kept seeing sky.
Needless to say he went back to stock.

with stock pipes 16/41 is the way to go for the track. I picked up 2 tenths, 4-5 mph, and dropped a tenth from my 60ft. My biggest gain was not having to shift 20 yds from the finish line. With a good exhaust, 17/40 seems to be the way to go.
