Just get a pair of aftermarket race-cut pegs- they won't have the rubber like the oem cruiser pegs on the 14.
They are inexpensive and sold everywhere.

If you want the nice stuff, look up Oberon- that's what I have on my bike.

Are you wanting light pegs, or are you wanting to put the 1.5" lower pegs on? If you're looking for the lowered buell pegs they're for an xb12.

will they work with the alienhead exhaust? I would lime some lower pegs, but the top of my alienhead touches the bottom of the rear brake....

They work with an alien head but I didn't like they way my foot sat on the peg, I replaced mine with gsxr 1000 pegs.

+1 XB12 pegs work great for tall riders. Getting hard to find.

You guys should be looking at aftermarket rear sets to give you the needed adjustment options for street, track,
different exhaust clearance, boot sizes etc.

Buell oem pegs would do none of the above well.

buell lowered pegs will though... do some research before you start throwing out bad gouge. they take a little modification to get to fit, but the buell pegs will give you a more relaxed riding position.

Yes, the Buell pegs are the better option.
Aftermarket rear sets that allow independent pegs adjustment, brake lever and shifter adjustments,
GP style shifting and forward, rearward, downward and upward adjustment of the whole rear set, on top of being way lighter than the oem assembly... not nearly as good as the oem Buell pegs

If you are the guy that rides Kawi's flagship motorcycle but chooses to put Buell oem crap on it for mods- knock yourself silly.

It's called being cost effective. Which obviously means nothing to someone who dumped a ton of money into a 14 trying to make it better for the twisties. Rear sets aren't necessary for what he's wanting to do with it.

I'm not sure how to respond to someone acusing me of being on the dumb side for modding my bikes with some of the nicest aftermarket parts and accessories.
If you think that the 14 is the wrong bike for the riding I enjoy,
rest assured that at least one other four bikes in the garage has it covered.

I think some of the rear sets are a work of art, CNC but the price for a foot peg was steep for me. The Buell peg fit my size 12 boot perfect. Best $25.00 I have spent. The other thing I noticed on some of the "Trick" rear sets the foot peg looks shorter than the stock or Buell. Size 12 boot needs some room :-)

For 25 bucks these pegs give a lot of bang for their price. When I am done on the buffer they will look really sick, and I will still only be out 25 bucks. I can buy a set of tires for what any of the rearsets cost Mass.

68GTS2 also look into the Werkes GP pegs. I have been using them for a year and I found on set on ebay used for 10 bucks and they are great. Lower than stock for sure and comfy. You can see them in these pics

God I love the "search" function. Due to a nice little wind gust today, my 14 was laying on its side when I got home. :-(
One of the effects were a broken R/S peg, now I have an excuse to get the Buell's.

Mass your right, rear sets would look better, perform better, and feel better but $400+ vs $25... You should know our broke asses are going to Gothenburg $25 way everytime. Until the pecan trees I just planted start growing money.
