Do you have it pulled down in the front? It does look a little high to me.

No, its not pulled down in the front. Unfortunatly I did not take measurements before I did the arm so I don't know how high or low to adjust my links. I do know that they are longer than my 3 hole links.

I have 4 1/2" in between the top of the tire and the undertail. I would think you could go lower because of your weight.

If you pull it down in the front that should give you a better idea of the angle of the arm.

With you on the bike, it should be pretty close to parallel with the ground.

Here you can see how my sat, static, at 64":

See the angle of the arm compared to your photo? Mine sits a little high because I am fairly heavy, and the bike settles down when I sit on it. Pull your forks down, and check it again. It might be pretty close.

Not to highjack the post but you guys have really touched on something. Customer service is becoming more important while it seems to be going away with the merchants. I think that at one time there was little competition because the dragbike scene was very small, they could treat you the way they wanted because they were going to get your money anyway. I have delt with Terry for years and he can be tough to get ahold of, and at times when he is very busy your arm may be a week or two late. That being said, his stuff is very nice and very well made. If he is slow, he will talk you through any problems in real time. I am only 15 minutes from Schnitz's shop and am very sorry to hear about poor customer service from them, I would call Ryan or Dave (Ryans dad and owner) and let them know that this needs to be addressed. In the past, I have had service so bad from a turbo builder that I considered getting out of the sport, then I just made up my mind that if I had a bad experience I was going to let them know how bad they were and make sure they never get another hard earned dollar until they make it right. Money is hard to come by, we have to spend it where it is appreciated. Brock seems to have really hit a home run with this, maybe a few other folks in the business could learn a thing or two from them. God know those two jokers Rob Muzzy has for sales could use a good kick in the butt. Yes I am talking about Dave and Kurt, Murray still rocks though! Well there is time you will never get back, but you got my .02.

I Think a new thread needs to be started about customer service. Schnitz burnt too many bridges. I will do without before a single penny is spen with those people. If people would stand up and take pride in where there hard earned dollar is spent these companies that have got too big for their pants would feel it!

I have nothing bad to say about Dave at Muzzys. They lost the best when Doug decided to go with planes though.
Ive had pretty good dealings with Ryan and Nick at Schnitz.
Mixed results from guys at APE
Only bought from Brock once and it went just fine
Jim at competiton cnc is right up there with Doug
I get the rest of my stuff from guys mostly on here

oh and yeah, bad ass swingarm! looks light

I am going to pray that tomorrow Schnitz becomes the last dealer on the planet. I also hope that used parts sales become illegal.

Then we will see where you stand, Mr. "Big Talker"!!

I bet I have ordered easily $5k or more in parts from Schnitz in the last 18 months. Perhaps 50 or more individual orders. They have provided equal or better service compared to ANY vendor I have dealt with. When I need a part quickly, I call Schnitz with a part #. I ask if the part is on the shelf. If not, I go elsewhere. Overall, I think Schnitz rocks!

But, back on topic...

Chad, when are you going to make some passes with this arm?

I plan on going this Friday weather permitting. I really dont think I will gain any ET with this arm. Just peace of mind over my extensions. I will let you know. I plan on getting my shock done next which I do expect some 60ft gains.

I don't figure you will gain any ET, just curious if you will feel anything different with the chassis.

Peace of mind is priceless. That's why I went with the underbracing on my stock arm.

Pretty much the deal is I just wanted a little piece of mind and not worry about the extensions. I measured today and I am actually at 65 inches. My arm is maxed out at 66" and I have an inch left. I did not even undo my chain when I put my arm on so it still the same length.

Chad, what all did that include?

Axle?
Brake Arm?
Chain Guard?
Bottle Bracket?
Powdercoat?
Anything else?

Seems like a really good deal.
