Dyno smackdown!!

Has anyone on this forum ever posted dyno results or tests with a Yosh full system on a 14? Wondering what the numbers would be vs the big boys(Muzzy and Brocks)....Some guys at the local HD dealership offered a $45 dyno pull on mine. I figured a 14 on a HD dyno might break it!!! LOL

Look on Ivans Performance he has dyno charts on the full systems he sells. Yoush is one of them. You

have to really look around to find them on the 14. His maps for those system are Smooth on the street.

Check Ivan's site- he's had dyno numbers since 06 for the gen1 zx14.
If I remember correct- 180 rwhp with Yoshi and 182 rwhp with Akra.

These numbers on their own are meaningless. You need to know what the stock bike made on the same dyno, on the same day so that you can see what the GAIN is.

(180bhp might sound good if the stock bike made 160 but real bad if it made 175 !!!!!)

Yes, I did. About 168 HP on a Dynojet in S.Ca. The dyno tests out almost ecactlyl consistent (within .3 HP) with O.C dynojet, same model at the Ferrari dealship, and well under Thunders dyno (not a dynojet), in Az, dyno, by about 20 HP or so.

Your on, next time you are in Dallas, I asked the same for Wee but lets all run the same sprockets. 17/43 60 MPH in 2nd gear and go for it. We have a "Safe" secret hiway 2 miles no side roads to let cagers in our way. Big Fun and easy on clutch.

It's a 14 thing. :-) all of us are over 200 pounds so if we run same sprockets it comes down which exhaust works best on the street. Oh and foot shifting please, lets play fair. :-)
Pump gas.

My 14 is roughly 100 lbs. lighter than stock and I'm 185 lbs.
fully suited. I can't launch but have years of experience in track days,
shifting is not an issue for me.
I'll gladly participate in a roll on against any other street bike.

Yes............... but the Yosh killed the Akra under 5000 RPM. Play on street you will

miss the difference in roll on's. Most difference I found on the roll on game was rear sprocket. I was SHOCKED what just ONE tooth over stock on rear did on any gear
roll on;s. But going up 2 did not have such a HUGE advantage. But a little quicker but less top end. We usuall stop at 170 or so and roll off and coast for a mile :-)

I think the 16T front sprocket is a must in the roll ons,
tall factory gearing doesn't help anything but gas mileage.

For track days a large rear sprocket is considered a disadvantage.
I run a -2/-1 with a 520 conversion on my 750 (15/44).
But I can see why some of the guys here that drag are using huge rear sprockets
since going 15T front with a 530 chain is not an option.
16/48 is the stock gearing of the R6 ( if memory serves me well), can't be wrong on a 14.

I'm not too concerned with dyno #s, mine hauls @ss and is a blast to ride,
that's all I care for with a street bike.

Flame on had the full system yosh, I had the Bruce fab Slipons and so did my dad.
I made 157 and change , my dad made 165 and change , and Flame one made 176 and change.

I've never seen someone on a dyno just hammer the gears like that. Looks like in the beginning he tried doing a pull in first or 2nd gear... I wouldn't think there would be accurate results that way. Just my observation.
