heated oil
220 is close to the optimum temp for oil though on a zx14 that could be dificult to reach even more so in the colder part of the year.I have seen more that a few oil heaters at the drags on cars the one I think would work well has a bung welded on the side of the pan with small shaft threaded into the pan with a small cord that you plug in.It dosent take long with this to bring the oil up to the proper operating temp.In cold climate its something to think about since oil temp rises slowly.

They were used a lot up north during winter on auto's before synthetic oil.
Oil would be so thick when extreme cold weather made them hard to start.

that would explain why. I've lived in the south my whole life. Too cold up north for me. Were headed to Detroit Michigan now and there's no freakin way someone could pay me to live here!
