- "The Miami Mile" -
This past weekend there was an LSR-type event in FL.
Several of the board members did attend: Entropy, ZRXDean, Wrongway, The Ice Man...mostly regulars in the Dragbike Zone.
Here is the Bikeland Kawasaki contingent:
The Ice Man (Sal):

Entropy (Karl):

ZRXDean (Dean):

Wrongway (Roy):

There were a couple of other 14's there as well. If we could get some interest here, I might come down to FL for the next event. It is supposed to be in March.
Here is the website with event info:
http://www.milemarker-1.com
Some more discussion in the dragbike zone:
http://www.bikeland.org/board/viewthread.php?FID=13&TID=52119&set_time=
Smokin, Nooby, anyone else interested?
Shane
PS. I posted this same basic information in my build thread, but I know that not everyone follows it.

Smokin and Nooby are not tall enough and dont weigh enough for the minimum requirements to run LSR

LOL
Smaller guys than them are doing LSR! Their weight/size would give them an advantage in LSR as well (especially in the 1 mile venues).

We may have to add 1 or 2 more people on the next event. Not crazy about going full out top speed but wouldn't mine giving it a try once.

It's a lot of fun and you will get used to the speed after a few passes. There is a one mile shutdown area, which should be no problem. I have easily stopped the 14 from 211 mph in a mile...with only one front rotor.

So, are you interested in attending and running at an event?

I would do Miami and think it would be cool. Where do I need to go to find out what safety requirements I need to do. Do you think with a speedo healer and my 16/41 gearing that I could run 200+?

Depends on whether or not you keep the nitrous on jk. I would think that you would run out of gear.

http://www.gearingcommander.com/ says that's only good for 164.7 mph. Looks like you will need somthing like an 18/38. I'm sure there is plenty of help here on the board for correct gearing.

17/40 gearing is what you will be looking for, most likely.

To keep the 41 rear what if he just put an18 on the front? Since he's so light wouldn't it pull good enough?

18/41 is too tall. It may pull to 200 with 17/41, if he is running a tall tire.
