Missed opportunity

Went to PineValley in Lufkin, TX yesterday with kawasakijockey to enjoy a gorgeous day. Air was awesome, but track was slick. Even SWB I was having trouble getting the power down even with only 18psi in the rear tire. I normally run 30-32 with no problem.
I managed to squeak out a several 9.2s and low 9.3s with a new personal best of 9.21. Big mph was there as well. Tough day 60' with it spinning up/short shifting then grippin and wheeling through 2nd. Makes for an interesting day to say the least.
Had the track been hooking better, 9.teens would have been very possible for me. Oh well, that's why we keep going. At least we were out playing at the track and enjoying the bikes, friends and gorgeous weather.

We did our best, but a slick track has no mercy.

Thanks. Eventually I'll extend it and regear and it'll be in the 8s. It amazes me how much friggin power this thing makes. I still have to pull the flies and put a good map in it. I'm pulling the bike in the house today for a winter tear down/weight loss program. I have several things I want to tweak before I go out again. I want some 9.teens or 9.0s in good air. Just gotta get the power down in a much more controlled manner.

just wait till I get my 60's down to the low 1.5s. This pass even had some wheelspin coming out, just not enough to break loose.

I forget to tell you that I was watching the rear end squat at your launch. It doesnt seem to squat much but it does stay down for quite a ways.

ahhh thanks! I still have some preload to take out of it. I'll do that while I have the bike apart. I might need a softer spring. But I think it just needs to be revalved for me. We'll see if I can get that done.

I think a lot of us underestimate what a revved shock would do for us! Those are def some good times for swb!

Here's a glass of hateraid. Extended I'd have no problem getting into the high 1.30s. My ZRX at 63 1/2" did several 1.37s. This bike is way more capable than my old hotrod. Just need a lot more seat time and some more tweaks and it'll be there.

Thanks Lee...your recipe is working like a champ.

Check out this pic just after launching....look how far I slide back. That is on my "to-do" list. This could have been one of the instant spins though...not for sure...but I still gotta make that pad to keep me forward on the tank.

Hell Jon with those big arms you should be able to hold yourself forward with ease! LOL I try and do exercises to work on that when I'm at the gym. Seems to of helped me some. Good run now put a good map in that thing and pull them fly's!

Excellent times for SWB, QP!
I just now figured out who you are (from the ZRX board) - famous there, not so famous here (yet).
