It is what it is man!! Instead of hating go get yourself on a diet see how can you take weight off your bike and try to make anything possible to make your bike faster without touching the motor and practice and practice as much as you can!! As myself see it hard to believe but Im not saying it's impossible!

What track ? If its anything but BMP i can't come .. I don't have the cash to go anywhere else.. I still need to buy a chain and clutches to get my zx14 up and running ..

Years ago I remember the highly successful roadracer Doug Polen getting protested. When they opened his motor, not only was it legal...but it was pretty damn worn out. 
Doug Polen :-) haven't heard his name in a long time. Back in the day D&D Exhaust
sponsered Doug. Back when D&D made real full systems for Sport Bikes that worked.

I know for a fact noobys bike didn't have spray on it that day at BMP .. And i have no reason not to take him at his word that the motor is untouched ..That day i run 8.76 was on pump gas one would think if i had MR9 on my bike that day i should have got closer to his 8.60s..
Still i'd love to put his bike on my dyno just to see how close the two bikes really are ..

if the timing is right and I can get the time off work, I'd LOVE to hit up this track rental. Long way to travel there though (coming from Shreveport, LA).

I may be up for a track day. I would definitely like to get back up to Valdosta some time this year to run with you guys again. Sorry you didn't get you 8 Dusty. One hell of a run Chad! Get that thing down here one weekend and lets strap it on the dyno. What was your 1/8 on that run?

Peak hp by itself does not tell the full tale on a bikes capability or the total energy characteristic of the output of a motor. Does give you a good idea but the other numerical factors under the power/torque curve come into play. Then hole shot, power transfer, weight, aerodynamics ect...bear on the outcome of 1/4 mile performance....
Just a few thoughts based on my knowledge base and years of reading and dragracing myself. I race a ZX-10R with a wheelie bar but the concepts apply.
8's is very cool to achieve on stock motor.

Quarter Pounder swing through Alabama and pick me up and I will split the gas with you. I am 4.5 hours from Valdosta. Could be closer if I would switch and go to work for Kia. They have a new plant in La grange Ga. and can't get enough people to work. I would love to get my bike out for a day of track use.

Sounds like we are getting a pretty good amount of interest, which could keep the costs per person lower. I know that myself and Racheal would be game.

damn youd haul ass on my bike. i run 5.6 134 mph 1/8. but thats with a big load of nitrous.Nice riding bud.
