I did the same as smokin. I have roughly 250 passes on my 09 and have 780 miles on it. Runs strong.

if you break it in soft it'll run like shit... break it in hard and it might last a couple thousand miles less but it'll run like a raped ape :P

give it 2-3 heat cycles, a burn out, then tear it up tuning on the road, dyno or track. thats what my last motor got. seems to get good mph for being under 1300cc. i would like to see what the bike would do with a light driver, but nobody drives my bike but me

Your engine is good to go after a couple of heat cycles , it's the tranny that has to mesh in so keep those shifts clean , and try not to twist the speedo-needle off ! LOL

I went 500 or 600 miles before I took mine to the track. I wish I would have raced it straight off the showroom floor...

How does it already have heat cycles when there's not the first drop of oil in the motor? Or is it done where they build them?
