Today my autotune arrived tom my mail box.
At the begining it's very difficult to understand how it works.
So, first step - Dismantle half a bike to route the cables
Second step - dismantle the other half of the bike to block the PAIR valve.
After 4 hours and all fingers cut I manage to do it.
Next step - Having something to eat.
Now, for the difficult side of the question.
When I first connected the autotune to the PCV there was no AFR reading at all.
Everything was connected, auto tune enabled, it looked like another PITA
One hour after I remembered there was a kind of jumper in the box plug it and ...
Bingo, we now have AFR reading in the Dynojet software
Now, put the bike on the stand, turn on and lets try to have some readings on the trim tables ....
1st, 2nd,3rd gear ....
Turn the bike of and there are no values to trim .... Nice map I thought ....
Tried that with all the gears and with a concrete wall 5 feet from my bike. All i kept thinking was "I something goes bad ....."
Still no values on the trim tables. Until my finger slliped to a button which says "GET TABLE"
There they were ... all trim values were there, for all gears .. :boogie :boogie :boogie
Then just hit "accept all trims" which updates the fuel tables, and then hit "send map" to upload the trimmed map to the PCV.
With all this mess when I looked at the clock it was almost 7pm and my wife was almost at home.
This weekend it's time to test on real riding conditions.
I'll let you now by Monday how it went.
Best regards
Bruno

i use auto tune but it is a motty afr tuner like it a lot :choice of gear, temp.tps,to autotune.........can save 2 maps can switch between the 2 on the fly.3.5 hours of dataloging :afr, target afr,rpm,temp.speed,gear.lap.simple to use, load a target afr and ride the bike, fuel map is built as you ride,to keep the new fuel map stop the bike by the kill switch and wait 5 secondes before turning the key off thats all. as you ride it is always mapping for weather, altitude, and ram air.i use it on my 06 and now on my 09 for the last 18 monts with 0 problem.on my first bike i have to make a custom instal(splice and cut wires)but now they have a plug and play that i use on my 09.here are someEX:of a log,and target afr and partly built fuel map.

You need to go ride the bike ... It takes some miles before it start to add trim numbers ...The unit has a very slow sample rate ... It took me 10 or so full runs to start getting numbers ..It works very good but you got to give it some time ..

All I can say is that getting the right values for the gears is a PITA .....
I did it at home with the bike on a stand.
You have to upgrade to the latest software from Dynojet and then update the PCV firmware.
I did manage to get almost all gears done, the only one that was not so good is 1st gear. Sometimes it shows 1st, sometimes 2nd. All the others are good, but the values that Dynojet send me were quite away from the ones that I have now.
As I said, try with the Dynojet reference values for your gears and then make some adjustments. You really have to be focused on the laptop because values change very fast.
6th gear has a very small value (about 40.000)
You have to go step by step. Don't try to make it all in one time. Make one gear at a time and let the bike cool down.
Most of my neighbours came to see what was going on in my garage.
I've started with 6th gear and then 5th, 4th 3rd, 2nd and 1st...
Have fun and drink 2 or 3 beers while doing it, Trust me it will help.
Almost forgot, You have to route a small wire from the gear input cables (the one that matters is the YELLOW ONE) to the PCV and lock it in the right place
You can find all info that you need here:
http://www.powercommander.com/downloads/17-012/install/pcv/eng17-012.pdf
and for the auto tune here

Ok, let's see if I can explain to you the easy way, I'm portuguese by the way.
First try to see the AFR values when you connect the laptop to the Power commander.
If everything is connected you should see the AFR value on the right column.
Turn the bike on and see if there's any value on the table (first it shows 9.99)
Now run the bike ... wait for a few seconds and then you should see the values changing on the AFR.
If that doesn't work you have to check the settings in the Autotune configuration
You should get a menu like this one at the right bottom side.
http://www.powercommander.com/downloads/UserGuides/AT200/AT-200.pdf
Now, you have to uncheck the "Enable hardware switch" box and the "require engine temp" box.
All the others have to be checked and don't change the trim values.
That's it ...
Now, try it and let me know how it went !

That's a big question, mine is plugged in the autotune, but I think it will work on the PCV as well.

I have been using autotune for about 9 months and I have found it to be a very good piece of kit. It's fitted to an 09 with Yoshi end cans (std headers) which I use for street riding and a once year tour around Spain. I have the gear position/speed sensor wired up, so the autotune has created a map for each gear. (How long would it take to create a custom map for each gear on a dyno!????). And of course it takes into account the ram-air effect etc.

I'm in the UK, so I "benefit" from the bike having an O2 sensor already in the exhaust. Unfortunately the OEM sensor is M12 thread and Dynojet's is M18 (I think),so some welding was required. Also needed buy the O2 sensor eliminator.

Hi there, I have a problem with the O2 sensor. The guy who welded that thing did it the wrong way so now I have an O2 sensor facing down and very close to the tarmac and probably I will damage it when hitting the twisties.
Since you have std headers can you PLEASE post a picture of where did you weld the O2 sensor. I assume the most easy way is to remove the OEM sensor and weld the autotune sensor in the same place, but I can be wrong, and my bike doesn't have a OEM sensor because its a 06 model, so I have to borrow one thats a 09 model to see the right place to do it.
Other thing that comes to my mind is that the OEM sensor seems smaller than the autotune one so I just hope it will not touch the fairings or anything else.
Many thanks for your help
Best regards
Bruno

I'll get a picture for you.

The sensor doesn't foul the fairing, but I did have to trim away a piece of the foam.
