Who's measured their gains from various mods?

I've been looking around for a little while now on this forum to see if anyone has posted gains achieved from various modifications to their 14.

For instance: My front end strap was worth +.4 on my bike at the track.

Tucking the mirrors in gained me almost 1/2 an mph in the traps.

I've just lowered the suspension down to a still streetable level and most likely next week I'll find out if that netted me any reductions in ET.

I'd love to read about who's gained what overall from each mod' if anyone noted it.

MR9 fuel.....

.10 to .15 gains in ET and 3-4 MPH gain in the 1/4 mile. (average results, but could be more or less depending on weather/track conditions).

good question

I have not taken the bike to the track yet.I have done my project as a package which somewhat mimics what brock offered a while back. Muzzy m14 pc3 muzzy map bmc race filter lowered front and rear and re-geared.plan to go to the track this spring in search of a 5 second time slip,I hope. The biggest single mod was the pipe, even before my pc arrived I took a test spin. Mr.smooth and composed 14 suddenly supprised me with a 12 o'clock wheelie that scared the shit out of me. The Beast was unleashed! Yea I know Brock didn't use a muzzy pipe before the brockland police come calling.

I agree 100%. Smokin's greatest mod is his left hand. Mine is my unusually large testicals .

No Bawls, your power comes from that blonde mullet. Don't deny it son! In other news, I dropped over a half second strapping it. Smokin' is dead on, of course. I worked so hard with it at SWB, now I will have to re-learn how to ride it at 63". More seat time when the weather allows.

That's very close to the gains I got with the strap as well. At stock height, no strap, the best I pulled off was a pogo-sticking 10.20 something, and the strap got me into the 9.83 range.

I'm curious to who gained what from exhaust systems, gearing changes, mirror removals, velocity stacks, air filter replacements, all the common bolt on stuff mostly and then maybe the more technical changes such as mapping, cam degreeing, ignigtion advance changes etc.

It really doesn't work that way...

.5 from a strap, .2 from exhaust and pc, .2 from an air shifter, .10 from fuel, .10 from wheels, .05 from bearings, .10 per inch of w/b, .10 per 30 lbs. of weight loss...next thing you know you should be riding a 7 second stock motor bike.

A fast bike is created by the overall setup and rider, not by bolting on parts.

Just my .02....
