Yes i understand that the boxes are all the same.Without buying the full pipes you cant get a good map.For what reason I do not know. This brings up the question if I dont have the full system then how can I be sure that the pc is tuned properly since they dont seem to want to sell just the pc? I would think in this case one would want to seek a dyno.I seem to have gotten some criticism for this thought but i still think if you have a stock exhaust with some mild mods with a pc its best to go with a dyno not just for performance but the health of the top end.

You can't get their map unless you have their system because their map is made for THEIR system.
"For what reason I do not know" because these guys have put endless amount of Research and Development into these maps. Hundreds of dyno runs, hundreds of 1/4 mile runs, etc. I'm sure you can buy the maps from brock without the pipe.

muzzy maps
Smokin. Is it your belief that a bike with a muzzy map would be more likely to benifit from a dyno session to get the best numbers. Are their maps that much different than a brock map if looking at the same cells at same rpm?

Are you sure your PC even has a map loaded? The only time my bike had a flat spot was after installing a full exhaust and pulling the flies out with no PC. Once I got a PC in her and a map she was an all business screamer from idle to limiter.

Yes it has a map.You can tune the map and make it work but there is no substitute for a dyno to extract the maximum hp and to prevent a lean condition that can be hard on the pistons. I get the feeling that some people may have left some hp on the table by trying to tune the pc in there garage with some guess work.Perhaps the bike does pull harder but that dosent mean that its tuned as good as it could be.

Yes you can tune on a dyno for Max HP ...BUT guess what , It will run like ass at the track .. You have to do both , tune on the dyno then tune at the track.... Just like Brock ....

For real??? How does a dyno simulate the air being forced into the airbox at 140mph? You sound like one of the dyno queen Busa guys. lol I run the Brocks race map and my bike runs very strong so why change?

We know what works and what doesn't work ...If you went back to the start and read what was posted you would not have needed to start this post .. There is so much info on this it would choke a horse ... It has been beat to death over and over ... Had you taken the time to read you would have save yourself time and Money .. Go ahead and keep telling us guys that are running in the 8s we don't know what we are doing ..

Zx14 fan is quite a smartass "know it all" that called smokin out a while back laughing ab smokin's 8.70's stock motor. I think everyone. Has been nice to him but he's telling people that have done the hard time their not right..

Obviously you missed the advice with guys that run consistantly in the 8's. THEY know how to go fast. THEY know how NOT to blow your motor. THEY have had these bikes since 2006.

look you need to have your map, pipe, fuel, air and everything in harmony for it to work. as stated previously on many posts, just running on the dyno is not enough. the ram air on the kawasaki works so well that peak dyno tuning will yield a poorly perfoming bike in the real world off the dyno. nobody has spent the time and effort that brock did to get the proper combination of dyno tuning and track adjustments. that is why his products and maps are very highly touted. now as for smokin, he has forgotten more about making power than most will ever know. how many of your buds go out and get the latest kawi(or other) bikes yearly for themselves to find out what works? how many of your buddies have a dynojet dyno in their own garages and give free runs and tuning advice to their friends? of those guys how many can ride a stock bike in the 8's in the quarter? his advice and help have been priceless as long as i've know him and he is always there to help, as others are on this forum. swallow your pride, ask your questions and sit back and learn. you need to learn. you have a great bike but your initial posts left us thinking hmmm. you will get some smart ass comments but hold on sift through them and you will be amazed how great your bike could be.

Well i can't tell you if numbers are close or not because i haven't looked at a Muzzy map in a very long time .. One would think that if Muzzy put the time in making a map like brock does the map would be very close..
