Look here for some pics on plugging the airbox line. You can see the smog pump in the pics as well, but there are no block off plates pictured.

This thread has the actual block off plates install, as well as pics of the smog pump.

I am still not comfortable just leaving that electrical plug (the one that plugs into the smog pump) unconnected, and I doubt that plastic baggie in the pic will sustain even one or two heat cycles. It seems there should be someone out there who makes an electrical plug that will seal up that connector and keep water and dirt out of there. Anyone help me out here?
Thanks!

Hey Scrape,
Ivans part # AK-KAW3a is a set of block off plates, an airbox plug, and a terminator for the smog pump wires... He says the "terminator" is to fix the FI code that gets get's thrown on 2008-2011 zx14's when you disconnect the the smog pump... Thing is, the bike does NOT throw a code... So it's really just a nice clean way to terminate those wires... He sells the whole kit (plates, plug, and terminator) for $50.

You could tape it or use heat shrink if your thinking of just leaving it.

Dogo,
I just installed the Ivan's block off plates and that plug connector. Ivan's makes the most complete set of block off plates that I have seen to date.

The bike might not throw a code, but it does affect at least the low rpm acceleration when you remove it. I have recently tested this.
I had seen mention of this in the past, but it doesn't seem to be common knowledge.

I'm thinking about doing the blockoff plate. I'm just curious, where does the excessive crank pressure go, if you do the blockoff plates?
Sorry if this is a stupid question.
