leather suits

Where is the best place to have a suit custom made without breaking the bank? When you are 5-3 hard to just buy a two piece that will fit they are usually made for people over 6 feet tall.

I'm 6'5", and am offended that you think suits are made for people over 6 foot tall. Total bullshit!

It's those piece a shi-ite normal sized people that get all the cool off the rack clothes: the 5'8" to 6'0" types. Fuck them run of the mill just like everybody else types, they can kiss our asses: there more than enough riders that are outside that narrow band that they should be able to offer a wider size range. Or in your case a 'shorter' size range.

I think I'm going to quit screwing around and eventually buy a vanson or bates. $1100 for a 2 piece drag racing suit from either one. Skin costs more though........

Didn't mean to offend taller people just meant that all 2 piece leather suit comes in longer leg lenths and are suitable for taller people than myself. With the knee pads halfway down to my ankels.

I could fit two of me in my lower leathers, and the length is still too short. The upper is not quite big enough. Fackers!

I've seen this on the Brady Bunch when I was little.

Try hanging by your arms a few hours a day in your closet to gain some inches.

I am 5-8 and found the Icon line to very undersized.
If you are slim, I would try their line.
If you are thick... haha..... serieously
If you are thin Icon might fit. I couldn't even get my forearms in their 3xl though.

The problem I find is most clothing is made for skinny guys that are 5-8.
The shoulders and arms never fit, when the length is right.
When the shoulders do fit it seems the waist is made the same size... way too big.
Square jackets suck....
Why is it they think ass size=shoulder size? LMAO.

Not all of us are built like barrels, mostly just the 6-5 guys I think..

hahaaaaa

call wayne willis at track skinz.. He did mine with wide openings for drag racing and no pucks for a really good price. You can go to barnacle bills and open up the order info and there's a link at the bottom of the page to download a file which will give you info on how to measure yourself for custom leathers. Here's the link to there. http://www.racingleather.com/ and also the link to waynes site. trackskinz.com Be sure and tell him that Chad Yates told you to call. He's got great customer service and prices.

750, hopefully that site Bawls gave you works out. I may check into it myself. I never thought the shorter guys had problems with the leathers. The taller guys have had trouble all their lives finding clothes. I bought the biggest leathers I could find and the pants are huge around the waist, high-waters at the bottom, and the jacket is too tight in the shoulders and the arm length is too short. To get it right will entail ponying up some fairly decent cash. If I were to get one custom, I think I would go with a one-piece. Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Damn Chad, I just took a look at trackskinz. Great prices, and seem to be well made. Looked at some write-ups on them and they were very favorable. Did you buy some? I might just have to partake in a one-piece for twisty track AND drag track.

A one piece at the dragstrip would be a nightmare! If you just dragrace I highly recommend you to stay away from that just imagine between runs your jacket hanging at your waist while having to do anything to the bike or just hanging out. Not trying to disagree with anyone else, just expressing my opinion.
