Busa spring????

Which year model Busa spring are you guys running? Since racetech has completely fucked me over i'm going to have to just find a busa spring. Will any year model work, or is it only the gen2? Also, what else do i need to get in order to make it work?

thanks for the Info guys.
Chad

Are you a pretty light guy? I would think you could get away with the stock shock at 63".

I had no problem with it last year at 230+ lbs. suited, but I was only running high 1.4's at best...mostly 1.5's.

i'm 168-170 lbs. Stock 07 fuel pump though so i'm afraid of hitting the swingarm. i do still need to stiffen my stock spring and set my screw though. a friend who is 190 lbs sat on my bike and bottomed it out so i know that the shock isn't set lol

I had the standard 07 pump on mine as well. It is obviously going to depend on how low you have the dogbones set. Mine had the stock fender and the tire kissed that before the pump came in contact.

Talk to Wheelie.
He went to the Busa spring, didn't like it, so put the stock 14 spring back on.
That's the story as I remember it .......................

Slammed on the bottom hole, 1" in the front. Full tiger under tail. The only thing that I'm worried about is bottoming the swingarm out on the fuel pump. Eventually I'll talk the wife into letting me buy an 08 fuel pump, but until then I get to work with what I've got lol. Any tips on the stock shock with stock spring?

I put an 08 spring on and I weigh 210 with 64.5 wb. At full soft setting the busa spring is a lot stiffer than the hardest setting of the 14 stock spring.

I've heard that the gen 1 busa has a little softer spring. I'm unaware if it is compatible, but it is harder then the 14 spring, and softer then the gen 2

I'm sitting at racetech right now getting my spring done. I just got lectured about how my lowering bones and stock shock are garbage and that it's not going to work so I need to have them revalve, respring, and shorten my shock instead. Holy fuck just put the spring on like I'm paying you to do and let me worry about it myself lol.
