That was a great video. I enjoyed watching it. It's pretty cool to see any bike putting down numbers like that. The star vmax is impressing me more and more over time.

After watching the videos those bikes do not leave the line well at all. They bog like crazy and dont seem to able to maintain high rpm to the 3e very 30'. I assume that they must be very difficult to ride?

I think it's that computer controlled throttle, not the riding. The computer won't allow you to drop the hammer off the line. But you're right, it really pulls the motor down off the line.

I'm pretty sure the fly by wire is the problem ... It felt to me that i had no controll over the throttle when i rode the bike ..I'd give it throttle it would just bog , the harder i tried the slower it went .... Best times were leaving at 3700 rpms .... A 1700 CC bike should not bog EVER ...

Guys look at the last two runs that Jon made on the Vmax ....The motor really jumps and picks up RPMs after the shift to 2 gear ... It starts a bit of wheel hopping and moves around a bit .. I'm thinking a possible 30 or 40 shot ....He has made no claims that he did it all motor , his only claim is the fastest gen 2 Vmax and that part is true ..
What do you guys think ? A 30 shot is worth about 3 tenths .... His first time to the track he ran 9.57 and was not happy , he comes back and runs 9.22 ?

Did he spray it ??????????????????

I heard and saw the same thing, Lee. I thought that maybe the track was just a little loose through there, when it started to move around. You know how sometimes they only treat the first 60' or something. I didn't even think about the possibility that he was spraying it...

He ran 9.57 with the bike at 550 lbs? Ouch. 3 tenths would be a lot to pick up, that's for sure.

Yeah, that mph does seem suspect. We know that Gleason's 146 was done with very good conditions. Also on oxygenated fuel?

One way to get around this fly-by wire would be to go with carbs, I suppose.

and jon cornell is also a normal sized guy. Not one of santa's elves. Jon is well known for being a crook and a liar, so i wouldn't put it past him to spray and not tell anyone.

That bike has to be spraying. You can hear it. It just comes alive in second gear. Time for Tim to get PeeWee back to the track and hook up a 40 shot!
