Anyone looking for a set of Marchesini wheels ?
I just ran across a really good deal on a set of Marchesini wheels if anyone is looking to get a set. I called Lockhart Phillips and they said gold was the only color that they had left in stock. I wish I could get these.

think I might just order those if one of you can answer my questions:
1. With the weight of the ZX14 and my weight (figure 320 suited) riding on the street, will a Marchesi hold up?? I aint easy on my bike either- abuse it regularly and put it away dirty.
2. How much weight will it drop, and is there a noticeable performance difference with the loss of rotating mass? ie does it accellerate noticeably harder?
3. How do they look on a 07 red 14?
4. The rear is 6" wide: thought the stockers were wider than that? Will it work fine with a 190?
oh yeah,
one last thing: Gilberjj I'm thumbing my nose at you.

haha........ yes, I would be eternally jealous if you got those wheels. BTW, your bike is an 06, not an 07. They didn't offer 07s in red....... (nose in thumb directed back to you)

You want your sprocket back? ah man I just got it on finally! you know how long I procrastinate on that kinda stuff... could take me a month to get around to pulling it off now.
Oh wait, I dont want a ZX10 fender on my bike. Pheww, one less thing to procrastinate! And for the record, my bike was bought new in 2007, and the salesman/manager told me it was a 2007, but it was a 2006 model. Got a screaming deal ($10,500) so I didn't really care anyways.

Oh, also, ANY forged aluminum wheel (marchesini) is going to be vastly stronger then the factory cast pieces.

Yeah, I just saw that they were aluminum and not magnesium. I'll have to think about it a bit longer than. Any idea on how long the sale will last?

Wheels (IMHO) are the #1 mod you can do to reduce rotating mass. You'll drop approx
14 lbs and the wheels are stronger than stock.
There is no "down side" to an aftermarket set of wheels. Well worth the $$$$
"And" as for how do they look on RED : there's a member here with a red 06 and wheels !
