Just a quick note on this thread. I was talking to a local dealer and he says that it appears that Suzuki is going to skip a year and sell what they can from inventory. They will have new 2011's.
I guess Suzuki has just added another special note** to Motorcycle history in the USA. Special Ed Suzuki 2010 Anything - to go along with the Special Ed VFR 700, KZ-700, CB-700 and of course GS 700.

It's not surprising to hear that new models will be scarce in 2010. What with Yamaha posting a $460 million loss for 2009, Honda a $2.91 billion "drop", Suzuki a 63.4% loss and even H-D a $31.5 million loss. Google around and see what's happening, we'll be lucky if we've still got them all a year from now. Honda are not even turning up at the UK's bike show in Birmingham this November, things are that bad. Our £UK is also weak against foreign currency so we'll be getting large price increases too and that won't help the market.
Please don't think I'm being a doom merchant, just telling it like it is. Hopefully the only way from here is UP.

Color matching frames I have always thought were attractive.

I agree, always liked the gold frame on my GSX-R1100K, the red frame on my Ducati and the gold that Aprilia have used on the RSV1000.
Odd then that the R1's red frame has just been dropped from thr 2010 range. The reason Yamaha gave was "not popular".
If they can't give us new models then some specials would be a good way to increase sales.
