Louis, get yourself a zx12 tensioner, and machine .120 " off the face of it where it mounts on the motor.
Its as simple as that bro.

Looks like I will have to. It's been awhile, but I can still run a engine lath
or a Bridgeport Mill. I just have to go see a old Employer and ask a favor. ummmm
I would rather wait for Bob Carpenter reply to how much and when. He said he has had a few calls about the mod. He is thinking about a price.

Wow 4 minutes, thats awful. To think I shudder over my second or two of rattle.
Tell me about it! It happens once in a blue moon , I'll start it and it will rattle till I get 1 bar of temp. But the worst was a few weeks ago was when I started the bike , there was normal 2 second rattle, warmed her up ,took off and did WOT for the 1st 2 gears , got to the light and the tensioner was rattling for a few seconds . Hasn't done it anytime since but its on my mind now.

Louis, any machine shop could mill it in about 10 minutes including set up, the price of the part is whats prohibitive.

Lyle I would think you would want to remove all the parts from inside the casting
before machining.?? Then flycut .120 off. $95.49 from CheapCycleparts.

shipping it from here would also be $30 (return) to stateside on average...
not conducive from Canada I am afraid.
