And the track numbers are still being laughed at when the 08 busa is put up against any year 14. Evidently bently knows some factory freaks.

My understanding is that the cylinder heads are practically indentical, despite what Kawasaki claimed.

The 08 busa's around here run as good as my 06. now i have not seen numbers like nooby and smokin posted but what other 14's have you seen run like that? Wees time is very impressive to me although his 60ft is not much better then mine so either his gearing is making that much different or the 09 pulls that much harder. according to me and wee's 60fts I should be running 9'0s and I'm going 9.24

Bently, my bike is going 9.0's on your 60 ft...but the bike is 50 lbs. lighter than yours (most likely) and running MR9. I am 222 suited.
Smokin and Nooby's times are certainly the exception...and 133 in the 1/8th is beyond unheard of (at least in my area of the planet). As far as Wee's #'s...again, exceptional. How many 230 lb. suited guys are running into the 8's on a 1.43 60 foot...with a stock motor?
It could simply be a matter of exceptional riding, track conditions, or some other mysterious force....the amount of hp required to make a .15 -.20 change in ET is very significant. Much more than the difference of the two model years.

I dont know Bently, my 60fts right now are best of 1.49 at this setup and worst of 1.51 and mine ran 9.28 with 16/42 gear with bad traction Saturday. That was a full tank of fuel and total weight of 785. It has run 9.20-9.21 consistently in the same weather. It is an 07. If I had your 60 ft it would be in the 9.0s I think.
I also dont understand the weight differences. Wheelie is my weight and his total package weight is 725 and mine is 765 with 2gals fuel. I dont understand where the other 40 lbs came from. Thats almost 2tenths in weight.

With my 60ft you would not be in the 9.0s as I've only had a 1.46

when I had my crank welded up for the stroker, they wanted to know what year the bike was. It sounded like the stroke was slightly changed, but I could not find anything to confirm that.
the muzzy site also says that the stroker kit has a 5mm or 5.5mm stroker depending on the kit.

The gear on the crank is different between the years. The 5.5 stroke is for a 1581 instead of a 1570 on a +3mm bore.

OK , that would makes sense if they were exchanging my crank for a welded one, but there was a 2 month lead time .... maybe that was for the JE pistons ?

I just re-read the post and realized they were at bradenton. That mean it was at or nearly at sea leval. The air was most likely low humidity tpoo. Those two make a huge differance. I have raced the dart there, and the track prep was kill also.just my 2 cents worth.
