Looking at the times there, there is something not right between the 330 and 1/8 because your et is only 6.01 to 6.05. I am comparing your runs to mine last night and you should have at least run 5.95 or lower. I was running 1.49 60's with 3.98-3.99 330's and doing 6.01's. If it isnt tire pressure it is either spinning the tire at a shift or pushing through the clutch a little. A sign of a clutch going away is when you run 60's and 330's you could not before but the et falls off. Were you hot lapping?

Another slip, from last year, for comparison (#44):

Equal to your 1/8th...with a .08 slower 60 foot. That was with 16/45 gearing and I couldn't get in the throttle quick at 63". That was back when my bike and I were heavier as well. And, to honest, I wasn't riding the bike very well.

Yes I was kinda hot lapping, ab every 20 min because I got there late and wanted to get as many passes in as possible. I think I got 7 passes, first one blew the tire off, last one busted the pan. I had a buddy holding onto the timeslips, and he lost 2...
Shane can we really compare times with your bike being so much lighter? I guess I'm asking can I actually compare the times?

That slip was from when my bike was set up like yours...but shorter. And I was heavier than you at the time, and on pump fuel.

One pass every 20 minutes is easy on the bike. I will often do 3 within 10-12 minutes at the track rental days. With as much gear as you have, you shouldn't have to slip the clutch much.

I am 10 lbs heavier than you with 16/42 gearing for reference too. Full tank of fuel too.

I'm going to guess you are sitting at around 65". Just out of curiosity, what rpm on the tach do you shift?

You're a heavier guy and you might see better results by shifting at about 11300 indicated.

Will change shift light when I get it back running. "Short shifting" those 400 rpms could take some off the time I suppose.

You can set the light for 11200 indicated, and you should be safe.
Assuming this is the factory shift light. If it is an MSD or similar, you would need to set it for the true rpm you wish to shift at.

what a great 60ft. i agree that that 60ft does not go with the 330 or 1/8mile. my best 1/8 sofar has been 6.09 @119.27 clean shifting the bike and had i been in the low1.4s like you i would run a low 9.1x in the 1/4. i will not be able to get that low of a 60 i am betting . try grabbing higher on the throttle at launch. it will equate to more power sooner than before if you do not grab high already. it helped me.

I'm going to run it one more time where the gearing is now, add the rest of the links in the chain, and it still dosent pull decent times I'm going to put my stock 17t sprocket on the front and see what that does. 17/48 would be close to 16/45, right?

I forgot to tell you I did paint it after the crash. I didn't have any silver rattle cans so I used some good gloss black, and it looked good until I ran out and got overspray on it.

My last question on this thread was approx how much time do you lose when you drag your feet. I catch myself at times not pulling my feet up until mid/high 2nd gear. I also see guys leave em hanging the whole pass, which is unnecessary. Just curious.
