Michelin Power One 180/55
Went to the track tonight and tested the Power One. Had my best ever 60ft of 1.398. I was really impressed with the way this tire hooked on a horrible track. My pass with that 60 ft was not impressive at all but I sure love that tire. Just wanted to share my luck with a 180/55 Power One. Oh..........I almost forgot but it rubbed the fender just perfect just like my Shinko 190/50.

15 psi..........If I went to a good track I am sure it would hook with more air but our local track is a joke.

The 180/55 Power Race is a lot taller than a Shinko 190...I wonder if the Power One is shorter?

Oh I forgot 28lbs. we tried 20lbs. but the bike stood up staight in the air at 65 inches slippin the clutch at 5000 rpm. We have not removed anything off the bike (all stock) 16/43 gear Brocks track map, street smeg. I,m sure if we remove the mirrors, tool pouch etc. with mr9 air shifter it'll go high 5.50s. Best street, drag tire I ever used. Only 6 runs made at the strip. No test or tune really done yet. I,m impressed.

Like this...bike #9200 (Me)...

I still have plenty of room for improvement, too. Just ask everyone!

Oh forgot to add, that is 690 lbs. of combined bike/rider. So, even with my lightweight bike...(I am holding it back at 222 lbs suited) that is like having a standard 14 with a 160+ lb. guy on it.
I'm not bragging, because I still have a lot to learn. But there is a lot more potential in your bike than you are using.

Why don't you post one of your slips in another thread? I'd like to see your 330'...I suspect it is way down.

Scotty, I sure would like to see a slip of you running 5.50's on a stock 14. I think even Smokin it only running low 5.60's.......Its nice to speculate.

Rickey Grayson, 64", claimed stock motor (mph seems to agree):

Damn you Shane, thats what I wanted to see. That does look like stock MPH for a light weight. Very similar to my MPH in this heat. I can't wait until it cools down and I get to go to Smokins track again. Last time there I ran an 8.83 with a 1.47 60ft. So it looks obtainable.

He ran in the 8.50's that day...on motor...but this is the only ticket that I had. I know he pulled a 1.33 60 ft. as well...so think about that.

I'm sure there is more potential, but like you guys point out everytime I post up ab my runs, there are things that need to be changed to get the full potential out of it.
HA!!! When you get to launch hard enough to pick the front wheel up make sure you get a pic! It will be priceless!!
