Thats a steeper price than I thought it would be Shane. I was figuring around $4,000 for stroker, cams and bore. Nothings ever cheap n easy is it! Guess the bike is gonna have to wait until I'm done with the GTO this winter then... Cant have a low 9second bike (with my big ass on it) until I have a low 11 second car. lol

Y2KZX12R, so what exactly would you need to do if you go from a 1417 to a 1500+CCs in ref to the head and/or cams if the heads are already ported with .395 cams. Would u need to do any additional porting, would the same cams suffice, buckets, etc., also how would u start this thing with the much larger pistons and stroke with very limited space on the 14 as far as adding a 2nd battery?
As far as porting, the MCSA in the head has to be adjusted to suit the engine. The valve choke has to be adjusted as well.
It really needs much larger cams in the .425"-445" range to get the power up to go after the big busa motors. To run those cams the head will need bigger buckets.
You will most likely need a second battery. A small 4 pound battery in the trunk will work fine.
Its not cheap, but if you want the big power, its what has to be done.

so how much hp difference will there be and what is a ballpark number on cost ?
Is the ex port work different for E85?
Roy
Porting will be the same. Cost depends on what cams/buckets you run.
Give me a call.

how much hp over stock is that? cause my bike reads 198 on the dyno in my area with just a pipe. which I know is bogus. but what would I see on that dyno with your head and mild cams?

I'm guessing 15-20rwhp based on what dynojets usually show for basic bolt on 14's (low 180's). Though if he is referring to race gas, you can take off half that number?
Is your stage 1 head come with stage 1 cams? I would say PM me your price lists... email works: tlperman (at) comcast (dot) net

Yea, the race fuel is worth 8 hp or so on an engine like that.
