quote: Lyle, I like to use my bike battery to power a 7.2 surround sound system and 73" DLP projection TV for moderate length features. I'm concerned that the Speedcell may not be up to the task.
Do you or any of your customers have experience with any similar setups?
Shane, you need the bigger one, and a larger alternator to recharge it I am afraid.

not 400 mile a day trips to the Mountains, I have never used a Speedcell to excuse my stupid questions.

For a killer deal on an AGM battery check out Battery Jack Inc. 888-307-6937. Picked up a battery for 41.98 +9.88 shipping to my door. Thought it might be a sealed battery for the price but it was a real AGM, it was packed sideways in the box. It fires up quicker than the sealed one I took out of my Triumph when the original one died. I always leave my bikes on a battery tender with no ill effects sealed, agm or gell and always fully charged. Nothing in Fl. lasts much over 3 yrs. because of the heat. Hard to beat for their prices.

That's a great price for an AGM battery! Gonna keep it in mind for sure. Thanks for the info!

My vmax has seen many day long 500 mile rides through the rockies this summer, without any issue. There are no short commings to using the speedcell in any manner, except they get a little bit lazy on mornings below freezing. and the price, ..... its the cheapest way I know of losing 10 lbs for $250 or so dollars.
The KTM has seen hundreds of starts within hours of riding, when i was teaching my daughter and son to ride. That amazed me as the big single is a hard starter to begin with and known to drain the stock battery quickly.
I can say without hesitation, unless riding below freezing temps, you will be completely satisfied in every way.

Also I was told to sell the battery tenders I used to own, the speedcell doesn't need it at 2% loss over 1 year without use!
