Muzzy nitrous kit question.
I may have asked in the past but have forgotten. With the 30hp jet (real 24hp) installed, how much mph and time are you guys picking up?

Do I need to install stiffer valve springs for a 30 to 40 rwhp shot with adams spray bar ramping up from 20% over 2sec from WOT?(300lb rider 16/45 gear) ?

Need ? good insurance YES!
No need to ramp a 40 hp hit that long. maybe if you have it in the throttle AND lock in first gear. What is your wheelbase? At your weight I'll bet you can spray 40 before second if you have 4-6 in of extentions. Be safe and back into whatever your setup will take.
20% of 40 hp is 8hp and 2 seconds is a long time on the track.
IMO that's uneccessary complication and wear on parts.

65" soon to be 67" wb. and yes, I want it to start at full throttle in first gear.
" uneccessary complication and wear on parts"
Please explain, I was thinking that is would be easier on parts than a full 40 shot in first gear. I plan on using gearing to get me moving off the line and have the 8hp or so help with my 60' and before the 330' i would be at full 40 shot and rolling. I am just buying parts now and need all the help I can get.
kawasakijockey, I hope this isn't thread jacking. I think it is kind of on the same subject.?

20% is too low the bike would nose over. I'm using 16s in my adam's bar set at .5 seconds delay 40% initial with 1.5 seconds build. 66" 240 suited. ran a best this weekend of 9.22 with a 1.57 60'

what fuel adjustments did you make or did you have it custom mapped?

I am confused, by adding 4% from 90% to100% throtle position would that not make it even fatter( richer) than the custom map?
By the way, Thanks for sharing info. thats what makes this site great!
I would like to use my brocks track map and just add fuel to get 11.5-1 or 12-1 a/f ratio. Does anyone think this is a bad idea (93 pump)? If so, How would you set it up?

What fuel adjustments did you make? And did you start with a Brocks track map as your base?

I know you want info on the 40 shot but I use a track map and added 12% to it for the 30 shot. A single jet 40hp should require 15-18% fuel added to the track map depending on the ambient temperature.

the values on the custom map were all "20"s. meaning it said 20 all the way down the map.
i added +24 to the existing values on the street map for the map i'm using now

What Rob has done here is the same as adding 22% to a track map. Remember that this was for a spray bar and not a fogger.
