went thru another tank of E85 .... stil no problems. Fuel mileage is still around 25 mpg cruising around town and commuting to work. Don't expect to get much more than 100 miles between filling up.
I will try to get to the dragstrip to run the stock bike this weekend and see how it does on E85.

Can you please send me your map? I can easily convert to e85. There is an e85 station just 5 miles from my house. I have an 06 with no flies, full exhaust and a filter. Would I be better off just adding 30% to my whole map and riding?

just add 40% to the entire map ,that should be close ...
I did not do a flies out because i thought i would have values over 100%
it does not hurt to be rich with E85

I have put on about 1200 miles with E85 over the last 4 months.... Nothing bad has happened to the fuel pump, lines or injectors. The bike has been sitting for a month , so I fired it up... no problems.

I ran my 14 on a Factory Pro Dyno last Friday. I hate to post Dyno numbers cause it becomes a "numbers game" but here goes...
On 87 183.3
On E85 with just a rough 40 to 45% increase on the fuel map 192.3
For you Dynojet guys that's about 210.7 to 221 HP.
Same Dyno, Same day. All numbers were corrcted
Torque jumped also by about 5 ft/lbs
All for $2.42 a gallon.
I wanted to do a comparo with the VP fuels but couldn't make myself spend the dough.

Not on my dyno jet dyno ...Wrongways 1530 motor on E85 only made 197 .. Where do you come up with 210 to 221 crazy numbers hp on a dynojet dyno ?

ok smart peoples if you mixed your fuel with 25% e85 do you think you would need a tune ..
pump gas has 10 to 15% in this area already mixed in it

Ok, here's the deal. I ran the Formula USA Dyno for 5 years using two Dynos, A dynojet 150 and a Factory Pro. When we went with the Factory the numbers dropped 13% on every bike tested. This was against our own Dynojet as well as the throngs of riders crying "but back home my bike made...." When I broke out the calculator and added 15% to our Factory's dyno number it always came very close to our and their Dynojet numbers.
Here I compared this Factory Dyno to A Dynojet at a now defunct dealership here in Phoenix.. Using that fomula, the 183 on the Factory was very close to the 210 that I last recorded on the Dynojet.
I wish the dealer hadn't closed as that dyno was where I had done all of my tuning over the course of the build.
I guess another way to look at it is a Factory Pro dyno's numbers are crazy low. That's what folks were always in my face about at the track. As I'm sure you know, it's not the number, it's the change that's important.
Getting back to the origional thread... I made a fuel line that allows me to easily drain whateve fuel's in the bike, so when I go to the track it just takes me a few minutes to switch over to the E85, I'll be going to the track tomorrow to try it out. Hopefully the MPH will tell.
Later,
Tom

Thanks Tom .. My point is not all dynojet dynos read like the one you talked about ..A good running well tuned zx14 on my dyno is 171 on a good day ..Most days 169 .. I have also seen big numbers posted here on dyno jet dynos but that doesn't mean all of them read high ..I have seen first hand what the E85 makes Vs pump gas and i have no problem with your 10 hp gain .. The only problem i had was with saying " For you dynojet guys thats 210 221 HP ..I hope you see my point ...

Hey Smokin
I absolutely understand. That's why I mentioned that I hate posting numbers.
BTW I failed to mention that mine is not stock. Stock mine pulled at 161, 172 and 168 on 3 different dyno's. Go figure ?
Where are you located? I'm always runnin' around on my BMW. I've got a friend down in Naples, Fla. that I'm overdue to visit. Maybe I can swing by and say "Hey!" I'm always game for chattin' with another gear head. I always "see" folks on these sites and every once in a while it's fun to meet them in person,
Thanks,
Tom

I believe Karl was seeing around 18% difference between a factory pro and Johnny Cheeses dynojet. I remember back when they were pretty excited about breaking 200 hp on the factory pro

My fuel system is almost complete for the e85 turbo project, fuel system consists of a billet fuel rail from Compton, -6 feed and return lines, a denso in tank fuel pump with a aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, feeding the fuel are the new bosch 725cc fuel injectors this fuel system should be good for about 350-400 hp with e85
