Thanks for the support, its interesting to hear also your opinions on laws. I live in NC and they are passing a law in Janurary that (if Im correct) no one under 18 can use a cell phone while operating a vehicle. It may be just texting Im not sure of the specifics though. My brother in law two years ago bought his first bike, a Kawa Nomad. He had never owned a street bike before. He was on his way back to work from lunch and was slowing down to turn and a 17 year old boy ran into the back of him. Witnesses said he never hit the breaks till after he hit him. Knocked him over 70ft from the point of impact. Luckily its a big heavy bike and he only suffered soreness and bruising. The main witnessess that saw it said the boy was clearly texting that he had his phone on top of the steering wheel directly in his line of sight. He was probably on going about 10mph or less when the kid was estimated hitting him at 50mph. Given FORCE equals mass X excelleration that was one more lick..
The bad thing is that two guys from a business across the street are in a biker gang called the OUTLAWS, my brother in law said that if it werent for it being a busy section of road and a lot of people around shortly there after, theres no telling what would have happend to the kid. He would have took a beating Im sure, these guys dont play around. To these guys hitting a biker would be like hitting their mom.

If you get a Palm Pre, you can talk on bluetooth, text a friend, send a work e-mail, and post on bikeland all at the same time while riding this 600RR

Lol ! See we have the technology, we just have to use it . Of course talking while driving/riding is bad anyways for some people . I know some who drive slow as hell or drive aimlessly when they carry on a conversation while driving
