Tilt sensor
Getting ready to put on a puig windscreen and figured I would get rid of that buzz noise from the sensor while I'm at it. I know some of you have said to put some rubber washers on so I was wondering if there is a certain type or size or anything. Thanks in advance.

Lol not sure i like that idea! I guess to test if it works you would have to start the bike and tilt the sensor . Start with a normal one and test it against the oil filled one.

Flame On what washers did you use, is there a specific size or kind? The tilt sensor has a rattle at about 3,000 to 4,000 rpms rich. It is normal, but I'd like to get rid of it if I'm already gonna have my windscreen off any way.

They were very thin standard washers had a gap between the sensor and mount I just snug it up

It does not leak at all, it cant or water would get in. The lid has a rubber seal that can be re- used. Yes it still works, I tested it with the sensor off the bike, it might take a whole 1/2 second longer to work, but it works. I have put about 10,000 miles on it since i did this and it has not leaked, and still works fine. The oil does not seem to harm the SI board in the tip sensor. If you do this just fill it up to the hinges, you will see what im talking about when you look in it. It is amazing how much noise that sensor makes, and the oil mod will stop all of it. I did the foam mod first, yes it worked ok, but didnt stop all the noise from the sensor. And I HATE foam, looks crappy (even though you cant see it with the wind screen on I still knew it was there).
