time slips with 16/48 gearing
I put the new 48t rear sprocket on this week and went to the track last night. First the track was the worst I've seen it. We've got so much rain the past few days we had to let them fry the track. The sun was pulling moisture out of the cracks in the concrete. I never got a "good pass" bc I was fighting the tire from hazing at/right after the 60ft. Here are the time slips in order
60ft 1.500
330 3.987
1/8. 6.084
Mph 116.92
1000 7.912
1/4 9.471
Mph143.76
60ft 1.472
330 3.972
1/8 6.076
Mph 116.42
1000 7.910
1/4 9.475
Mph 143.34
Rt .019
60 1.45
330 3.92
1/8 6.013
Mph 117.50
1000 7.831
1/4 9.381
Mph 114.38
Rt .047
60 1.470
330 3.95
1/8 6.057
Mph 116.48
1000 7.891
1/4 9.455
Mph 143.78
Rt .082
60 1.489
330 3.993
1/8 6.092
Mph116.66
1000 7.923
1/4 9.489
mph 143.20
Next 2 runs were 9.51 and a 9.52
The track was off, and humidity was 95 percent so it was the absolute worst weather coniditions. This really isn't a good comparison as my 60fts on the new bike has been STEADT between 1.5 and 1.56's. So the sprocket helped my 60ft's and 1/8 mile. A guy on a 14 I always compare mine to as we run identical times was off on his mph too, so I'm hoping that it was everyone's mph was off. Not the fastest but it outran or ran with all other 14's (were 10 or 12 there)

I'm interested to see how your 330's come around. What is your setup again?

I have no pc, just alien head and no pc. The bike feels like its losing power after 330. I think a pc and a good map would do. I didn't realize until it was getting time to run that I forgot to get gas, so I had to put 1.5 gal of 110 octane in it. I feel that didn't help any.

What's your weight and wheelbase? The 110 will definitely cost you power.

I weight 198 in boxers. It was strange bc the 110 helped my 06 14, but I've ran it on the new bike 2 other times and it didn't help (had no other choice yesterday)

I'm not happy with the times whatsoever, but with everyone running slower it makes me wander what it will run in decent weather.

Dusty, look at the factors, very low tire pressure? 110 oct fuel. water sweeping on the track, high heat with high humidity, and a shorter wheelbase, I guarantee you when those are all positive factors you will be very happy,

Well, for my semdra class (6.0) I think I'm pretty close! I'm sure I will not do any big changes til after oct as its the last semdra race. I got my tigertail last night so I'm going to install tonight or in the am. I was lucky after tightnening the shock to set the lowering links perfect as it BARELY touched the stock undertail. I think when I get my pc I'm going to take it to chris jones to put a custom map in it...

How much wheelbase did you lose with that sprocket? You went up 5 teeth, right?

I lost about 1", maybe less. My first few passes it come up a foot or so (what Erin says watching from the stands) but it didn't feel like it came up that much. I'm going to try it just like it sits, minus 110 fuel and on a day water isn't all over the track. That wasn't very good "test runs" considering all the negatives I had going against me. I was going to try and wait til after the wedding before I put any more money into the bike, but I hope to see a pc in my stocking for christmas!!!
