Countershaft Sprocket
I have two questions about the counter shaft sprocket because I don't have my manual handy and I just can't remember.
1.) What size socket is the nut that holds the sprocket on?
2.) Is the thread for the nut regular or reverse thread?

Its a 27mm and I'm 99 percent sure its reg thread. Its a BIIITCH to get off too. Better get a 6 point socket. I got mine at O Rilleys parts store bc no one else had it. O yea, and a 5ft cheater bar.

I used a deep impact socket , six sided.

Get a 27mm 6 point socket. Lefty loosey. I just got mine of last week. Heated the nut with a heat gun and it finally came off. It will come loose.

I'll use the heat gun and impact wrench as well. If the impact doesn't work I have a substantial 3/4" drive cheater as well.

I'm sure you know, but make sure you have the socket ALL THE WAY on the nut. Stripped one before. Good luck with it!

And also make sure you flatten the washer that has one edge raised up.
And make sure to bend it back up when you replace the nut.
But yeah, that one is a royal P A I N. I was afraid of rounding off the edges, so I eventually took it to the race shop. Even they had a tough time.

i must have got lucky cuz mine came off w/ one small blip from a 1/2' ir impact
