i think i'd have to leave on gas with 16/43 it bogs horrible for me on motor. i'll be tuning my setup this weekend and don't want to put it in the limiter testing. I've got the nitrous on the throttle and don't want to run out of gear.

rick what was your setup with a 40shot

Just curious, what do you weigh? 16/43 shouldn't bogg down much!

Maybe try a 44T? I think you could get by with the 43, but you would probably have to get more aggressive with it.

I've tried a few gear combos back when I was heavier, the 16/45 was by far the easiest to ride. But I think it's a lot of gear for the spray, since you want to spray as early as you can for ET.

It should make it Rob unless your spray pushes through the clutch, and it shouldnt.

16-44 is the closest you can get with spray top of 6th at redline!!!

16-45 puts you in the limiter.....

Your gonna need heavier clutch springs.....5 of them!!!

Make sure you buy a bunch of extra steels!!!!!.....When you hear the clutch squeel, pull out of ur hand and or wheelie.....Open up your clutch and you'll see that when you CANT take the steels out, those are the ones that are WARPED !!!!!

Only 8.80 , but i spun to the 8th. Bikes making real good power, but i gotta step it up to run with these guys around here. Would of made some more passes, but had to help a buddy get his bike ready. Btw i thought the 08-09 being faster than the 06-07 was all hype, but his bike is def faster. Anyway moral of the story is im thinking 16-43 gearing is just right for spraying. I think 16-45 might be a lil to wheelie happy. With my set-up its hard to find the medium between wheelie and spinning. But i know its me. Gotta work on the clutch hand.
