The two Fastest N/A Kawasakis in the world...

After the first few runs at Loring on Sunday the records were being shattered in just about every class. This track is awesome and he conditions were excellent.

With Doug Meyer riding both bikes to their fastest runs, it was a battle back and fourth with these two bikes for the Fastest N/A Kawasaki in history. In the end it was the lower, longer, sleeker, one that won with a 222.xx mph run vs the taller pump gas street bike that ran 218.9 mph. Better aeros win every time.

Both bikes are 2000 zx12rs with 1427cc engines and stage 2 big valve CNC ported heads from CompetitionCNC.com

Congrats again, Jim. I'm sure that if you want to sponsor me some cylinder header work, I can bring something to the table next year with this big, clunky, ZX-14.

Those were fast runs ,,,, almost makes me wish I had plastics on my bike :-) I guess I will have to go to texas and run to find out how the 14 compares to Karl's bike :-)

I think the consensus is about 10 mph for plastics....

I'm not surprised that you don't believe me, Roy. Do you think that there *might* be some changes to that bike and/or setup during the winter?

The consensus is about 10 mph. Not 20 mph. It is not a secret or a conspiracy, I'm afraid.

Why not put some fairings on and report back your findings? Same day testing would be best.

Thanks guys.

You can see more results at the LTA home page.

Shane, Sorry I didn't have much time at the track to discuss details of our CNC ported zx14 head... me a shout..... We can work some kind of sponsorship out.

All the zx14 heads we have done so far have been for drag racers. So I'm itching to see what one will do at a LSR event.

I might retire my bike to LSR only after having so much fun last weekend.

It's very addictive, huh!?! Considering Texas in Oct?

I'll be in touch regarding the 14, thanks. I'm definitely curious as to what is possible.

Both are running Muzzys 87mm offset bore big blocks and weld-up stroker cranks, carrillo rods, megacycle cams (but different grinds), busa 28mm buckets. I windowed my block

I'm running modified 46mm throttle bodies with custom made Bosh 430cc injectors by Marren and Karl is running 48mm throttle bodies with RC370 injectors.

I'm running 13.4 CR for pump gas, and Karl is about 15 to 1.

My tranny is stock, you would have to ask Karl about his tranny.
