Good idea, but how long will that last? Great short term fix to get home.
Cox guard will help.

I used JB weld, held up for 10,000 miles... still in there.
The COX guard will cover about 95% of the radiator, definately would have prevented my leak.
I got lucky sort of, I was running abou 120 mph when suddenly it felt warm inside my leg like I had ,,,, well you get the idea,
I look down and the pant leg is wet from the knee to my nuts....
I slow down and see it squirting.
I slow down more and instead of squirting up, its covering pouring onto my tire....
Good thing I was going that fast, and I was no where near a road like the dragon....

Thanks guys, that is what I was gonna do with the JB weld. I went to the Cox site and checked out the guards and they look good. So I will purchase one. I will take the radiator off and clean the bike now ( nothing like cooked on antifreeze!!!)

I paid a few bucks at a local radiator shop to get them to braze it. Still holding up 7500 miles later. Got the Cox radiator guard 7500 miles ago, too. No more worries.
