Badge removal
The Australian 07 model has a chrome plastic "ZX14" badge on each side of the rear fairing. Has anyone sucessfully removed this without any damage?
It is the last badge left and it's got to go!!!

It is the one that is about 5MM thick , not just a sticker!

I like mine, that's all the "bling" I got! Lol
I'm with ya, I'd be a little paranoid ab pulling them off without pulling a hunk paint with it.

I pulled the ninja off my 06, its the same raised decal idea.
Heat gun or a hair dryer will soften the glue enough to pull it off.
3M adhesive remover works better, but a light rub with wd40 will help remove the residue

I just tried to reuse that decal for my new fairing. I used a hair dryer and it melted the fairing and I still could not get it off. I would be cautious. They use 3M tape and that shit is permanent.

Lift the edge, slide floss underneath and pull away from the fairing plastic, I have done this for years, no sweat!

+1 here in the states there is a product called Goof Off looks and smells like cig. lighter fluid. I coat the floss with and use about a foot of the floss with back and forth like you are sawing and pull towards you when doing this. And pour the fluid on the plastic. It wont hurt
the paint just don't leave on there for hours.

How I removed mine was I went out and got a sixpack of beer.. I just picked at it and I remember thinking that the paint was going to crack but it did not. When I was done there was some sticky stuff still left so I grab some dish soap and a rag and wiped it until the sticky stuff was completely removed and by that time it was time for another beer run..

DO NOT USE "OOPS" to remove the sticky stuff left behind. I used it once to get some really stubborn show polish off my windshield and it just smeared it and almost melted the plastic...
