How to suspension video

I watched a great video on the On The Throttle site on how to set up your suspension. It was nice for me as i am weigh about the same as the guy in the video. The video is specifically for the ZX14.

He said he changed his about 5000 miles ago on a 20000 mile bike so he changed it at 15000 miles and never changed the rear. 5000 seems a bit early for changing the fork oil to me too no?

It was at about the 11:30 mark where he said to do it every 5k miles. Good video though, I need to upgrade my suspension but maybe I can get it set up to be at least ok for me.
