flush mount drain plug

I was in my transmission shop the other day and ran across a plug that will replace the oil drain plug and give you a lot more clearance then the factory one. its off a jag transmission and has a built in o ring.in the pics I machined .100 inch off the end to give me 3/8 of an inch more clearance. I ordered another one to verify the part number. if its the one I ordered they are $8.00 canadian. the plug ends up the same thickness as the washer on the factory plug.

Shane has some that work with the OEM washer. They work Great as you can grind off the guard that is in front of the plug for more clearence.

allen wrench works. I am trying to send pics but thats a mission here. it looks like a flat surface with a allen head hole in it. I should have the part number the middle of the week and will post it. you can get them from a jaguar dealer for about $6.

I'll have to get a couple- not lowered but somehow got some scrape marks on the plug guard... speedbumps and maybe coming down heavily from wheelies.

Great find and thanks for sharing

the part number is JLM 20214 at the jaguar dealer the price is $8.40 canadian so it should be about $6.00 US. what I like is the recessed oring.
