What mods should I do first

Just was wondering what mods to do first? I've had the bike for 3 months and everything is stock on it. I'm new here and would like to know exhaust/maps? or remove the flies? Thanks in advance

Your first mod should be invest in a pcIII or a pcV, that way when you add your exhaust and remove the flies you can install the proper map.

There is only $5 or $10 between the pc's. I'd go ahead and get the pcV as you can do a lot more with it

Get a pipe, take the flies out, keep the OEM filter in and you dont need a PC...

It's beens aid before, but since you are doing street + strip I think the following stages would get you set up nicely for either.

Phase One - More street related.
- BMC Race Filter.
- Muzzy M14 + M10
- Power Commander - any flavor / model.
- Flies Out!

Thats gonna be your cookie cutter street setup, something you can easily afford and utlize ont he street or track.

Phase Two - Leaning towards track.
- Lowered front and rear.
- Swingarm extenders
- 520 chain kit.
- Gearing.

That setup should get you to the point where you can focus on your track skills. Once you get consistent then Phase Three should be directed to whatever your weak points are ... 60 times, ET, MPH etc ...

alright on the phases, went out yesterday and really got to ride the bike and it feels alittle sluggish on the low end. Will the exhaust and flies out fix that? or will I need to get that pc5?

When you talk about swing arm, are you talking about a extension to the swing arm that I have? or getting a new one like from Roaring Toyz?

I did the track years ago(90-93) in Hi on a FZR 1000 that I bought Drag ready. Just trying to get back into the grove of things on the track. With all of these changes like lowering, will I still be able to hit the turns just as hard?

Front straps and adjustable lowering links make it a 20 minute job to go from lowered to standard height with 2 tools you can carry on the bike!
Myself , I'd go a BMC street filter not race filter if it is a dual purpose bike.
What year is your bike? Mine is an 07 and fly removal made an awsome difference!
Not sure about the 09>
