Engine identification 06/07 or 08/09????
Guys,
I have just received the 2 ZX14 engines which I had ordered from the states for my race car.
The engine numbers are:
ZX14OAE007993
ZX14OAE007487
Can anybody confirm what year these 2 engines are??
Or does anybody know how I can find out what year they are??
Cheers,
Josh

I would think any good Kawa dealer workshop should be able to tell you, as they would have to order spares all the time for the different years they work on.
Or maybe failing that Kawa themselves.

Cheers Bill,
You are correct. I was under the impression that I was buying a 2008 engine & a 2009 engine as this is what the seller in the US. told me.
Looks like I got conned!!!

Sorry to hear that JB,
Can you post any info of who you bought off?
If the seller has really 'conned' you, i'm pretty sure that a ZX14 forum reader might be close enough to this seller and help out?
Hopefully, you haven't bought something to good to be true...
Look: if he/she, advertised an 08 and an 09 and it isn't what you got. Then something is wrong....

Bill, the engines look as though they are in very good condition just a couple of scatches on the side covers. All the sensors and wireing is there as the seller promised plus the engines were crated up very nicely before sending them to me by airfreight. The guy also chucked in a couple of fuel pumps for free and was generally very nice to deal with. I havent started the engines yet so I cannot confirm that they are ok internally. I will only know that when they are installed and running.
The only problem I have till now is that I was promised a 2009 & a 2008, but they are both actually 2007 engines. I emailed the seller as soon as I found out that they were both 2007 engines expressing my disapointment but I havent got a reply to date.
Thanks for your concern everybody.
I bought the engines from:
Seth Yousef
Superbikes International

Thanks again,
Josh.
