ZX14 TiForce silencer burn up on Dyno runs?
TiForce carbon silencer burning up.
I purchased this a cycle gear here in West Palm Beach Florida.
Now I will have to deal with another company to resolve this issue..
I contacted the main Corporation in Japan and they replied back with this message below
Will you please call to our US office for further, please?
TiForce USA
tel: 205-583-8601
email: tech@tiforce.com
I was able to contact the gentleman after playing phone tag for over a month.
I called today and was able to contact him by phone he mentioned over the phone about it being too rich I indicated to him I am running a oxygen fuel sensor..
Next he asked the question if I put it on a Dyno I told him yes he stated that was the issue that when it was on me Dyno it got too hot and blew out the packing..
At the end of the conversation he stated he would e-mail me with an address..
He did e-mail me with this message and an address...
Please send silencer and copy of sales receipt to us at the following address
I guess this is my biggest question.............................
Has anything like this ever happen to anybody else?
Dyno runs 1 time 6 pulls..

It is commonly known that at least some carbon mufflers are more susceptible to heat damage. Some companies, such as Area P, use a higher quality product to enhance longevity.

Not for 6 pulls. Ti-Force is a pretty good exhaust with a matching price that is not normal as you described.

I agree on the 6 pulls. How much nitrous have you put through the bike?

You must keep the packing tight in CF mufflers.
The packing supports the can and core, and when it gets loose it will elongate the rivet holes at the ends of the can.
This also occurs with aluminum and stainless, but carbon is more susceptible to friction damage than metals.
Possibly the packing was loose already...?

+1 all it takes is one small opening in the packing that is wrapped around the core for a hole to burn a hot spot on the CF. Next time you have a Dyno map made have them use a fan on the CF silencer to move air by it to cool it. I have run a Carbon Fiber silencer on my old
FJ1200 for years and no problems as I am always moving when I am WOT. Sport touring
riders have the same problems with bags too close to the carbon silencer and not enough air passing by them to cool them.

I contacted them when I first noticed it.. it was not because of the nitrous I deftly think the issue was the packing.. like I stated I contacted somebody but played phone tag for approximately 2 months so the exhaust definitely looks really burnt.. I'll take a picture of it...
On the Dyno I think they hit the nitrous twice..6 pulls.
I drove the bike twice after it was on the Dyno hardly put any miles on the bike and notice the exhaust started turning black..
It has to be the packing that's what I'm assuming for the price the silencer should held up a lot longer than what it did...
Thank you guys for your feedback!
