sorry, but street racing is just stupid and only brings unwanted attention on the motorcycling community. Street racers are usually cowards at the track with many excuses not to race at the track. Lack of actual skills is usually the main reason.
I'll not be visiting any street races...not going to support something so asinine.

I used to street race at every opportunity and thought I had good launch skills!
Now I keep it for the track and am regularly humbled!
Night and day difference in the competition!!!

don't even try to lump me into that crowd. I have never raced on the street. I'm not that stupid. I like my license, and I like my money even more. Why would I be stupid enough to risk getting busted for something when I can do it for real on a track with no worries of cops?

usually the result when street "racers" try the track. They can learn the skills but they aren't nowhere near as quick as they think they are. It's a whole new ballgame and usually get spanked.

ricky g. cut his teeth on the street, must be why he can't compete with the pros. my wifes grandfather was the 39th driver for nascar, prior to that he ran moonshine. go figure

Street Racing sucks cause there is alot of room for Games & Cheating...

It's more fun on the DragStrip because you get better traction and can see what you do and where to make improvements...

And what was the reason he quit? ummm...his friend was killed and it woke his ass up before he got killed. Even HE will tell you racing on the street is stupid and no longer endorses it. That crap don't hold water. No good being a dead badass "racer" on the street.

You cannot compare a moonshine driver from decades ago to a highperformance motorcycle with a rider that does not have the skills to control it. go figure

That's a huge reason, the track highlights the cheaters lack of skills.
