Quote.....That would be nice rick but 214 bucks a tire ? Vs 110 a tire ....I may try a power one down the road but for test and tune it a waste of money .....Quote

Smokin.....The way you launch & the condition of Sunshine, you need a Power One!!!

I say if you never spin again, then the extra hunge is worth it to me!!!...Test & Tune is the same as eliminations, No???

True.....

But, if Smokin spends the hunge on the 008 and spins here and there, what good is it ???

Then spends the 2 hunge on a Power1 to try it and never spins, then he spent an extra hunge instead of just going with whats already proven on a ProStreetBike...

Then he won't have any reason to bitch at the track staff for not prepping the track right. LOL

lol @ Teddy.....

Maybe Smokin should get the Sunshine staff to chip in the other hunge so he wont complain about the lack of track prep anymore!!!

I run the 180 but I have yet to try a p1 my buddy has it on his bike and it hooks like glue, I have one in the garage to go on next but I just can't wear out this supercorsa I have. it will go at least 200 passes. my buddy has put 30 to 40 passes on his p1 and it looks like he has not even used any rubber yet it takes a very small burnout. looks to be a 200 pass or better tire as well.

It is...it's a 003 with no grooves.
I'm not sure that is right ... If you put the tires side by side you can clearly see the difference in the profile .. To the touch the 008 seems to be a different compound ( softer ) .. The 008 seems to feather the rubber after a burn out and the 003 just gets a gummy feel .. The 008 worn out still has a crown and the 003 is flat (no crown) ...

Hmmm...Maybe i'm wrong. I seen both 008 and 003 at the track the other night and they both looked the same. Both were pretty shot so maybe it was just me. What's that new tire on psychobike some guys are using? It's just like the shinko but rebadged as another brand....

Hey Lee, what kind of pressure do you normally run in your Shinko? I always had to run a lower pressure with the Shinko compared to the Michelins I have now.

I have the full bore now. I really liked it the first 10 passes, but now after those passes and ab 300 road miles its wanting to spin around 30-50ft out. Not a real bad spin, but enough I feel it and my 60ft shows. I will go back to the reg 003 shinko, I ran them for 3 years on my 06zx14 and had little traction problems, and they lasted on the road.

I run the Power One 180-55 RV, and my buddy has the Shinko 008 190-50. Both are 06 ZX-14's. Both have the same map. Both run pump gas. I am 69", he is 68". He weighs 20 lbs less than I do. I have Muzzy, he has Brock's. Ran against each other Saturday, both of us had near identical 60' times. I went 9.07....he went 9.09. I had 15 psi, he had 18 psi.

Just an honest comparison. Both work great, but the Shinko is alot heavier.
