Dunlop Qualifiers are they any good?
Local dealer has Dunlop Qualifiers at 50% off retail. So its about $70 cheaper than the Pilot Powers i'm running now. I really like the Pilots so i'm wondering how the Dunlops compare. Thanks for your input.

Michelin Pilots are worth the extra money. Stick with those because they are really good all around tires. When my Dunlops wear out I am going straight for those. Im just going to use the oem tires for now. I dont really like the feedback I get from my set

i dont like qualifiers. They wear to fast, and are ONLY good on clean track. I had them on an sv650, and I absolutely hated them. The Metzeler M1s and M3s were great tires. More feedback, more confidence in them by FAR. I ride Supermoto a lot, and I use lots of takeoffs from diff brands. I am a metzeler and bridgestone fan. Pirellis are good once in a while, but wear quick and are bad street tires (diablos and supercorsas). BTO 21s are good on the 14, as are the BTO14's. Powers are good I hear, and 2 CTS are better yet on street from the word I hear.

Dunlops are good for burnout competitions!! Tires is not where you want to be cheap! Your bike is only as good as its connected to the road

A front qualifier is alright but as far as the rear goes on a 14, i guarantee you wont get any miles out of it compared to a pilot power.

pazx14rider I see you have the Brock pin style lowering links .
I put some on my bike but haven't worked out a quick / easy way to adjust them.
Any sugestions? Thanks Doug

check the manufacturers date stamp on them...they could be a few years old. Personally, I've not had any luck with dunlops on any of my bikes. Just don't like the feel of them.

Qualifiers suck. 1 trip in the mountains and melted them. Barely made it home. Brand new tires and wore them to the canvas. When they got hot they looked like melted wax. 8 hours to the mountians hwy. 2 hours through the mountains running fast, stop check tire. Then putt around as I wasnt certain I was getting home after checking the tire. When I first had them installed I had to turn off my steering damper as they made the bike turn like a truck. The michelins are the way to go. Same trip, same mountains and the tire worked great! I also had to turn the damper up as the bike was very lively! No contest.

Doug, all do is put the bike on a swingarm stand, place a small jack under the rear shock. Back off both alen head bolts on both links then jack the floor jack up till you can rattle the pins back and fourth. Pull both pins out, then slowly let the jack down or up depending where you want them. then put the pins in and tighten the allen head bolts back up. about 10 min. is usually all it takes. And I dont take the lower air scoop off either.

I have qualifiers on mine right now. I think they are good tires. I put 2,700 miles on them over the last 9 days (to laguna seca and back). I'm not sure how many miles thay had on them before that but i would say at least 1,000 and one track day. The rear is about done now, but 4,000 miles seems pretty good to me. They also have always given great traction as far as i can tell.
