CAM CHAIN ADJUSTER RATTLE
The cam chain adjuster on my bike always rattled on start up but stopped after a half second. Recently it started lasting longer before it went quiet like about 15 seconds sometimes. I read some posts that said it has a coarse ratchet mechanism that could allow more stretch before it clicked into the next cog. So last week it started rattling on start up so I cracked the throttle before it stopped figuring maybe it might snap into the next cog and you know I think it worked. Now it goes away right after start up half second or so. Just thought I might offer it as a possible cure if it hasn't been discussed.

Cam chain rattle? Don't need no stinking cam chain rattle, or jumped cam timing. Go Ape and enjoy your new 14. Almost 31K now, turbo fine, cam chain fine. What the heck were they thinking? When on any motorcycle or car did an auto adjuster ever work? The V Rod doesn't have the clippey notch thingy that don't allow back movement. If you back a V Rod off a trailer with any miles, and drop into gear, without the oil pressure keeping it tight it will jump. No Harley bashing, 14's are worse,
