PCIII USB HUB: NOW MOTORCYCLE WILL NOT RUN!!

I had the bike running and powercommander III USB( current fireware 1.0.0.20) with HUB connected to my computer and as soon as I tried to update the firmware so that I could use the HUB the ZX14 stopped running and would not crank backup!

What did I do wrong!? and What can I do to fix it!?

I reinstall the PCIII software from disc. Used the 9vt battery(in place of having the bike running.) to power the pcIII and download the firmware to it. After the update, i connected the HUB, no more problems to report. I hope this helps.
Thank you'll for helping me.

Good to hear.
I remember having issues uploading the software, and had to play around with it. It was a few years ago now, and couldn't remember exactly what I did , other than get frustrated and determined with it ! LOL
Eventually I did get mine going too.

I always have to use the 9V battery, so it seems, or the Power Commander software on my laptop does not see the bike.

dont use the 9 volt battery it will go dead on you in minutes and if you are the middle of a down load your pc3 will get scrambled. use 12 volts from the bike battery to do the downloads. this info is from dynojet.

I load all maps with the bike running also. Updating the HUB firmware is the only thing I've had a problem with loading while bike running.

if you dont use 9 volt adapter and battery, you will erase your firm ware , this is what happened , I did the same thing when I installed lcd screen and had to update firmware .Had bike running for power, clicked update firmware with laptop hooked up and the bike died . You need PC-prog. If I remember right thats what its called, dynojet has it $34 or so, its not listed on webstite you need to call them. until then unplug power commander and plug back in factory unit. it will start right up.

Yes use the relay output, triggered off rpm, to activate the light.
When you wire the hub to the relay, it supplies 5v, so the solenoid side must be ground on the other end. Do not wire 12v to the hub relay output!

Has anyone used the relay output, triggered off rpm, to activate air shifter?
How good did it work?

So your telling me i must run a extra relay to power a led light?

i had my power commander setup for my kill box for my shifter. you just need to enable the quick shifter and move a pin one of the plugs and its good. just use the Neg trigger from the shifter setup to that wire and its all good.

The easiest way I've found to program the pc on the bike is use a 9 volt adapter that plugs in the wall. I picked one up from radio shack that has a 9 volt cap, you plug that into the pc 9 volt connector, then plug into the pc and you have unlimited 9 volt power

loading or updating maps and such is ok on the bike, but if you need to update the firmware on the pclll so it will recognize the hub or the lcd, use a fresh 9v battery plugged into the adapter. i had to update the pclll firmware so it would see the lcd (dubious you did the same thing when you got your lcd i think) the bike power cuts off during the firmware upload and fucks the whole deal up.
