Did you try the search feature? I saw this the other week. I know of a couple differences and here they are.
- 08-09 bigger fuel injectors
- 08-09 butterflys open quicker (better low end throttle response)
- 08-09 has a lower profile fuel pump which won't hit the swingarm when lowered
- cam chain adjuster is better on the 08-09
- Metal air filter cover on 08-09
I am sure there is more but can't think right now

Main ground location moved.
Valve cover is different..
Header is larger as well as the mufflers..
Head porting, better flow ( can't prove this ) .

they changed the way they casted the frames, to reduce failures from overtorquing. also making them slightly heavier. the 08,09 have cats in the exhaust , 06,07 didn't.

Different pistons and valve cover?
Does the valve cover look different for any reason other than air injection changes?

No the valve cover looks the same on the outside ..But on the inside it has some kind of sound damping to cover up piston and valve train noise .. On the pistons they changed the skirt to cut down noise ..It's still a slipper type but i think the made the skirt a bit larger ..

I believe similar noise reduction provisions are also made to the cam chain chamber.

Cheers guys, thanks for the info.
Can anybody confirm whether the 06 headers fit the 08/09 head??? I ask this because I had just bought a muzzy M14 header for my 06 engine before I blew it and I hope it matches the 08/09 engine which I have on the way.
Also I have heard many people mention 8 injectors on the new model, is this true?

Smokin put the exhaust from his 06 on the 09, so they must fit.
The new busa has 8 injectors, the zx14 has always and still has 4 injectors

Motorcyclist or CycleWorld had a write-up on the 08 before production and they stated there was a slight change in the head porting or port angle since it was getting different fuel injectors. Nowhere else has there been any mention of it so I kind of forgot about it. You may be right about that Smokin. I will try to find that issue if it is still here and post quote what it reads.

Found it! Motorcyclist Feb 2008 page 51. Word for word quote below..
" The cylinder head is revised, as is it's cover, and the secondary air ports (which inject clean air into the exhaust, leaning it out) are 20 percent bigger. The internals of the exhaust pipes have been dialed in, the header connector pipe is 75 percent bigger while a third catalyzer has been wedged in there somewhere. Intake porting has been fettled, and the reason for the obvious low-end boost is an increased spray angle for the sub-throttle injectors, from 15 to 20 degrees, sending atomized fuel over a wider area."

header will fitt 06 to 09 only if you use a stock header you will have to use same year pipes you can put a 09 on a 06 and a the only diffrence is were they go together so yes the muzzy will fit
FWI injectors are the same size they just spray widder more fuel efficiant

I put my 06 Brocks pipe on my 09 ... seems to work fine ..You will have no problem using your Muzzy pipe on your new engine.. P/C Maps will be different , so you will need to remap or custom tune your new engine ..

Cheers for confirming that the exhaust headers will fit guys.
Luckily when the car caught fire it didnt manage to get at the PC5, but it did get at the connectors of the PC5. I had to cut the wires before the connector as it was all melted into one piece with the wiring harness main connector.
Could anybody suggest where I could find a couple of new connectors for the PC5 + wiring diagram so that I could put on a couple of new connectors and still use my PC5??
