fluid of unkown origin

i tipped over my bike from stand twice, so i decided to put T rex sliders on it.
after removing the middle fairing, on the left side of the bike, I notice fluid dripping down. Behind the coolant reservoir. Fluid is like motor oil (not coolant). after cleaning the area I can not detect any leak or source of the fluid. any ideas.

please click link below to see the pics if you cant see it in this threat. click to enlarge.

no, if its the valve cover gasket, it should be fixed when you have an opportunity, it will continue to leak, and is not related to the tip over.
Kawi should fix it under warantee I would think.

ok i will take it to dealer but i doubt they will cover anything since bike is 07 and kawasaki provides only one year warranty.

from other forums problem can be fixed with washers. - how much can i expect to shell out at the dealer for this. or is it even possible for mechanically retard like me to do it at home.

Um, usually it leaks from the bottom of the seal, and the washers work, bu the cover and gasket have to come off, to seal it all with silicone properly.

If you are not so mechanically inclined, I would take it to the dealer.
There is alot of junk on top the cover under the frame in there.

You could save yourself a little bit of money and have the sidepanels, lowers, and the grills removed already, they could have a quick look for you and likely no charge for inspection, if you bring it this way for the inspection.

mine leaks from the valve cover as well... not enough to worry about, but every time that i change the oil i wipe what little bit is there off. eventually i'll do something about it, but since it's done it for 15k with no problems i'm not too worried about it lol. just be sure to check the nuts on your exhaust studs to make sure that they aren't backing off. I found one of mine a little loose when I changed my exhaust out. haven't had any problems since then though.

update - after looking under the hot wind cover (rubber), there is no fluid, around the spark plugs its all dry with some dirt. and the fluid turned out to be red in color (if mixed with dirt looked brown like motoroil). its probably my BMC race filter oil.
