Gilliam Raceway Video

here is a couple runs at the new Thunder Road Raceway (Red River Raceway) in Gilliam Louisiana. Track was in great shape, well prepped. Open every fri, sat, sun
Think the guy on the Busa was a bit of a newbie, but it was fun to school him anyway i ran a 8.90 @ 157 to his 9.97 and very, very poor start....it was 97deg F and high humidity so i was happy.
2nd video was an 8.93 @ 156
edit: the video is squeezed for some reason, bike is 63" and im not that thin!!

Nice vids, I gotta learn to do a burnout before I hit the track.

your launches look very clean to my uneducated eyes.

I'll be on the lookout for ya...I missed that day. Was out there this past weekend and it was dead (8 bikes). I have a feeling they won't be able to continue the Sunday thing. They will be running this Sunday, so come on out. I'll be there on Friday night and Sunday.

its a tiger tail, ,i have the links(ebay, not sure brand) in the last hole and i just squeak by with the stock shock at my weight(spring compressed, dampened all the way) , i have been looking at getting the shock re-valved cause it does rub the under tail a little

think i might try the Friday night thing cause the heat takes (almost) all the fun away, as long as its not packed like opening day! That was way to many cars!! 2 runs in 5 hours
50/50 on if i am going out of town, i might be in baton rouge to see a friend and may do the capitol Saturday night TNT. Looking forward to meeting you.. what color is yours, how can i find you?

i would say its a smooth release in combination with twisting the throttle and i try to get it out by the time i get to the tree. its hard for me to explain but you just have to feel it, It only comes with seat time and i know i don't get enough of it. Thanks for the compliment though my runs are nowhere near perfect, but i will keep trying to improve. i am still shooting for 1.30s but feel i need a bit more length and a shock to get there with my skill level

I'll be out there tonight. Did you know there is a King of the Track at Lufkin (Pine Valley) on Saturday? Still debating on going...and of course Sunday afternoon I plan on going to Thunderroad as well. I am trying to get some passes in on this new-to-me bike.

I'm easy to find, I'll be the only one with the short 08 14 (blk/red). I'll be on the lookout for you as well. Gotta put these eyeabusers in place.

Gates open at 7pm, racing at 8 until 1am. I'm not sure about Lufkin either...might just spend the day tearing the bike down and getting to know it better. Bonding time. lol
