14 Hong Kong farings came in......

Well they came today. $654 dollars delivered for all 17 pieces. no tank but a buddy is painting that. The paint is really nice looking. the flames are hand painted on and match the se red wheels perfect. They are made out of ABS injected plastic and are really thicker than I thought they would be. I mounted the headlight assy. and the ram air tubes and it fit really well. The side farings fit good but I had to slot a couple of the holes maybe a 1/16th or so. the back pieces bolted right on. I will have to get new sound deadner pads and heat shields but I was really shocked at how good they look. As soon as I get it together I will shoot a couple of pics. here are some of the farings as I opened them.

The Chinese bodies used to be crap but we have been seeing some EXTREMELY nice stuff the last year or so - both fit and quality!

One thing everyone I know agrees on, put that aluminum colored heat shielding on the plastics around the area of the exhaust. Usually the factory plastics have it where it needs to be and you can get an idea. Rather than buy the factory heat shielding for high dollar, many use "real" heat tape

Actmarts1 on Ebay is where they came from. fit is really nice. I should have it back together by thursday of next week. It took them 3 weeks to get here from when I ordered them. It even came with the ram air duct covers and the side grills.

OK got the sound pads and the blinkers mounted up on the side farings. Also got the lowere ready. the holes were the wrong size or they left them small. not sure. but to put the inserts in I had to drill the holes a little bigger. The blinkers required a little small enlarging of one of the holes but it was easy. here is a completed pic of them ready to install. I took a picture of one of the lowers up next to the red rear rim. The color is a perfect match. I will post more pic with the stuff on the bike.

sides ready to mount
